On Friday the 14th, IPL Srl hosted PMI Day – 16th Edition, an initiative promoted and organized by Confindustria Catania, at its headquarters in Belpasso.
This particularly significant event coincided with the company’s 50th anniversary, offering the opportunity to open IPL’s doors to the new generations.
The morning was dedicated to discussions with students, with the aim of providing a first-hand understanding of the company, the challenges of the industrial sector, and the professional opportunities available in the area.
The theme chosen for this edition, “Choice,” guided the discussion on the importance of making informed decisions for one’s future, from training to employment, to the values that accompany one’s professional career.
The meeting was opened by Fabrizio Fronterrè, President of the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Confindustria Catania.
Speakers included:
- Elita Schillaci (University of Catania), who illustrated the opportunities offered by the area and presented the new “fullness of life” index;
- Rosita D’Orsi (Regional Education Office), on the role of schools in supporting students;
- Sergio La Scala, Gianluca La Scala, and Ivana D’Amico, who shared the history of IPL Srl, its business processes, the value of its decisions, and the vision that guides the company’s growth;
- Antonino Franchina, Head of Corporate Sustainability, who outlined the environmental strategies in which IPL is investing.
